Delete my data

You can delete your Who In account and the social account data linked to it with the steps below. This is how you exercise your right to erasure.

1. Sign in by asking for a one-time link to the email address on your account.
2. Open this page and press “Delete my account” below.
3. Read the confirmation and press “Yes, permanently delete my account”.
4. Once you confirm, your email, social account links, verification and profile records are removed from the live system. Your sessions on all devices end and your profile card is taken off the lists. Contest and quiz records, likes, your last-visit day and your account activity log are deleted too.

Remove just one social account

Go to your profile and use “Remove” next to the account in the social accounts section of your card. This removes the link in Who In only; it does not delete your Instagram, TikTok or X account. Your other linked accounts and your Who In email account stay.

If you cannot sign in

Write to hello@whoin.app from the email address on your account, with the subject “Who In data deletion request”. Do not send your social media password or a sign-in code. We process the request after checking that the account is yours, and we aim to reply within one month.

Other requests

To ask for a copy of your data, correct it, restrict or object to its use, or withdraw consent, email the same address. You can turn off the launch email notice on this page after signing in. More detail is in the privacy notice.

Operational backups are access-controlled, and deleted records are not restored into the live system from them.
